  • We had a lovely stay in Alnwick. The house is perfectly located to explore the town. It was spacious and warm which was appreciated as the weather wasn't great. Lots of space to dry coats and boots. Natalia's communication was clear and thoughtful. Highly recommended.

  • Nathalia was the perfect host and made sure that my family and I had a very comfortable stay at her lovely home! My husband and I stayed in the double bedroom which has the biggest and comfiest bed, and there was plenty of room for us to put our daughter's cot up too. We really like that the room has shutters so it was totally dark at night (perfect for our toddler!). The cottage is in the perfect location, very close to some lovely pubs and restaurants (we loved the Plough and the Market Tavern in particular for food!). There is also a lovely little park about a 5 mins walk away which was great for taking our daughter to. The cottage was nice and spacious and also has a utility room which was great for storing our pushchair, leaving sandy shoes and coats etc...! Stairgate was a nice touch too if you have little ones! Nathalia's communication was fantastic throughout, very quick to reply and answer questions. Great value for money we felt. We'd love to stay again!

    Great stay! Really lovely little cottage right in the centre of town. Very comfortable and cosy with everything you need. Natalia was a great host who made everything so easy and really went the extra mile with some lovely finishing touches. Whilst we never had the pleasure to meet in person, she was so kind and approachable when texting, I feel like I’ve made a friend :-) Alnwick is a great town to explore and to use as a base for going further afield - popping to Scotland for lunch was a novelty! Thank you again Natalia for literally making our holiday perfect - when we venture this way again, we will look to stay here a second time!

  • Sentry Cottage
    This cottage is very comfortable and in a great location, next to a very pleasant Micropub that causes no disturbance. All of Alnwich is easily walkable as is the Castle and Gardens and Barter Books. Definitely best to book restaurants as they are fully booked very quickly. We found Alnwick to be very convenient for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast and its attractions.

  • Sentry Cottage: We had a fantastic stay at Sentry Cottage- ideally situated, being a very short walk to the gardens, castle and town. We given a very warm welcome, great communication from the host and the cottage itself felt it had ample space for our needs (2 adults, 3 children under 4) with lots of room for a travel cot in the main bedroom. Kitchen well equipped and a good selection of books and toys in the lounge. We would definitely look to book again here on a return visit to Alnwick. Thanks for a lovely stay!

  • Sentry Cottage: Sentry Cottage is absolutely brilliantly situated for accessing Alnwick and the surrounding area. The cottage is suitably equipped and has a comfortable sitting room with log burner . The main bedroom is large and has a very comfortable large bed ( for once my 6ft 5’’ husband’s feet didn’t hang off the bed!) . There are also 2 comfortable single rooms . The cottage also has a utility/ boot room which we found really useful for putting our walking gear in after days out- the beaches are absolutely stunning . There are lots of pubs and restaurants within waking distance - recommend ‘ the dirty bottles ‘ for pub grub . Alnwick castle and stunning gardens within walking distance of the cottage . Lidl also within walking distance. Barter Books is a must if you like reading- also just up the road within walking distance. We would also recommend Cragside ,which is about 10 miles away and is A fantastic National Trust property and grounds , well worth a visit. Thank you to Nathalia, our host , who was brilliant.

    Fantastic cottage with extra touches . Friendly owner . Beautifully finished. .excellent location in Alnwick and especially Alnwick castle and gardens but also for driving to Seahouses, Bamburgh, Holy island etc. . Could park outside or parking just over road in big car parks.

  • Sentry Cottage:
    A charming cottage within walking distance of the castle and town centre. This cottage had everything we needed and the little gifts were an added bonus. Check-in was easy and the hosts are very communicative. Parking was a bonus in a town centre.

  • Sentry Cottage: What a lovely comfortable cottage! Well laid out with comfortable beds/sofas and a practical kitchen. Great location. In particular, the cottage is very suitable for families with young children. We felt the house was safe for a young child (stair gate/window locks etc) and our son enjoyed playing with the wooden train set that was there. Highly recommended and we hope to stay again.

  • Sentry cottage is a fantastic place to stay when you’re in Alnwick. It is central with easy access to Alnwick Gardens and castle. The beds are extremely comfortable and our 5 year old commented it was the best bed he’d ever slept it. Natalia the host is very welcoming and makes sure that you have everything you need. I would make sure that you book restaurants in advance as these can get full up quite quickly. We hope to return again next year.

  • Sentry Cottage: Lovely cottage, right in the centre of Alnwick with parking. So handy for all the restaurants, cafes and shops and walking distance to Alnwick Castle and gardens. Very good host, who answers any questions promptly, checks to make sure everything is okay and leaves treats!

  • Sentry cottage is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed, including a very handy parking space right in the centre of Alnwick. Easy walking to the castle and gardens, and central for all of the local shops and amenities.Natalia was a lovely, communicative hostess, and gave us lots of information about exploring this fabulous area.   • We recently enjoyed a pleasant week's stay at Sentry Cottage. The cottage is comfortable, well equipped and very well situated - a few minutes level walk into the town, Barter Books and Alnwick Gardens. Alnwick is an ideal base for exploring both the Northumberland coast and for hill/moorland walks.

  • Love this place. We have stayed at Sentry Cottage twice now and think it's fairly certain we'll be back as we love the area.
    The cottage was perfect for our family of four, plenty of space, clean, warm and ideally located to explore Alnwick and the surrounding countryside. Three bedrooms gave both our teenagers a room each and the all important (for them) WiFi worked perfectly.
    Natalia is a wonderful host, lovely to meet on our first visit and very considerate on our second as we ventured out in the first week since lockdown eased. Cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.
